Super-Sized American by, Myself

The super-sized American
walks
Big gulp in hand
around
the pantry door and
out
the gate, smiling and
panting
Around the block to the
store
To get a bag of
chips
Maybe some kind of
cheese
Not real, of course

Hot dogs
Nachos
Doritos
Pizza
Cookies

Buy them all scrape and
horde
The super-sized American
waddles
Out the Plaid Pantry
door
Not able to wait he
gulps
Not one bag, but two bags of
chips
All flavors and sizes in the
cupboard
Show's on the big
telly
The super-sized American
sits
On a self-sprung couch and
watches
The super slim and elite have
life
Worth living and sits
wondering
Why that body is not
his
The super-sized American
doesn't
Understand that a life of
T.V.
And ultimate snacking
will
Only end in the Bariatric
unit
Of a special hospital it
used
To be so rare, but
Now
Is quite common
failing
Again and again, going back
Finally,

High blood pressure
Carroded joints
Diminished lung capacity
Diabetes
Heart disease
High cholesterol

The super-sized American
Explodes
